Our Journey
When we launched 0xCord, we set out with a clear mission: to simplify Web3 infrastructure management for developers. We recognized that provisioning and managing multiple Web3 services—RPC endpoints, decentralized file storage, oracles, and more—was becoming increasingly complex, with each service requiring different tokens, operating on different chains, and having unique integration requirements.
Our vision was to create a unified hub that would abstract away this complexity, allowing developers to focus on building rather than managing infrastructure.
What We Learned
Over the past few years, we've gained invaluable insights about the Web3 infrastructure landscape:
- Market Timing & Focus: While the pain points we identified were real, our initial focus on Chainlink services created a market that was narrower than anticipated
- Understanding Market Spend: We learned that entering a growing market doesn't guarantee success—you need to deeply understand where the actual spend is flowing within that growing market, not just assume growth equals opportunity
- Validation Speed: We should have run lower fidelity experiments to invalidate our assumptions faster, rather than building toward a full product without sufficient early validation
- User Adoption Challenges: The intersection of users who needed multiple Chainlink services, faced significant integration challenges, and were comfortable with third-party management solutions was smaller than we expected
- Product-Market Fit: Despite shipping a functional product and generating interest from the community, we struggled to achieve the traction needed for sustainable growth
Our Achievements
While 0xCord didn't reach the scale we envisioned, we're proud of what we accomplished:
- Successfully raised initial funding and built a functional Web3 infrastructure platform
- Developed deep expertise in Chainlink integration and Web3 developer tooling
- Connected with amazing builders and contributors in the Web3 ecosystem
- Gained firsthand experience in the challenges of Web3 infrastructure management
Looking Forward
As we sunset 0xCord, we want to express our gratitude to:
- Our investors who believed in our vision and supported us through this journey
- The Web3 developer community for their feedback, patience, and engagement
